HOW RESULTS WORK

Deal methodology

The goal is to show current offers without turning a retailer's crossed-out price into unsupported savings.

Data sources

Results can come from current marketplace APIs and retailer-authorized catalogs or feeds. A retailer appears only when its source is connected, permitted for this use, and active. BroElectric Deals does not treat an unavailable integration as live inventory.

Who this is for

BroElectric Deals is built for value-conscious U.S. DIYers, makers, and practical tech shoppers comparing exact tools, electronics, home-project gear, and hobby products before checkout. It prioritizes model identity, delivered price, current availability, and explainable evidence over an endless feed of loosely matched promotions.

Product matching

Exact model numbers, manufacturer part numbers, and other stable identifiers receive the strongest match weight. The barcode scanner accepts check-digit-valid UPC, EAN, and GTIN values and sends only that identifier into search. Connected catalogs use exact equivalent GTIN forms, and a live marketplace result is kept only when the provider returns the same structured GTIN; listings with a missing or conflicting GTIN are excluded. A successful scan does not by itself verify the product variant, price, or deal. Similar titles are filtered when their capacity, size, generation, kit count, speed, condition, or other important variant evidence conflicts.

Price comparison

Known item price and shipping are combined into a delivered price before tax. Shipping that cannot be determined is labeled rather than assumed to be free. Auction amounts are current bids, not final sale prices. Extreme comparable-listing prices can be excluded from the market median instead of being used to manufacture a deal.

Evidence labels

Current listing
A current offer is available, but independent market or price-history evidence has not established savings.
Possible deal
A retailer markdown, promotion, or active-market comparison suggests value, but the evidence is not strong enough to call the savings verified.
Verified deal
The displayed savings are supported by either at least four exact current market comparisons or at least eight in-stock price observations spanning fourteen days. A stored reference without this structured provenance is not accepted.

Price-history maturity

Price history uses delivered prices actually observed while the offer reported in stock. A rolling 90-day series must contain at least eight distinct checks spanning at least 14 days before its median can support a verified savings claim. Short, duplicate, stale, out-of-stock, and retailer crossed-out prices do not mature the evidence.

Freshness and ranking

Marketplace searches are requested when you search. Connected catalog offers must explicitly report in-stock availability and pass a 24-hour freshness check before public display. The database policy, best-offer selection, and page mapper enforce the same rule; unknown availability is not treated as available. The curated starter feed requires a valid affiliate destination. An explicit text or barcode search may also show a useful ordinary retailer link, labeled without an affiliate disclosure and excluded from affiliate-click metrics. Default order emphasizes product-match confidence, then deal evidence and known delivered price. Affiliate commission does not determine result order.

Limits

Coverage is not exhaustive. Prices, coupons, taxes, stock, eligibility, shipping, seller terms, and checkout totals can change. A result is a comparison lead, not a guarantee that an item is available or that a retailer will honor a displayed price.
